  • Oldschool text games?

I was surprised to find many old mates still playing MUDs when I went back for a visit, and some of the old ones I used to visit have actually grown a little since my last visit in the 90s.

I'm sure many went under, but there seems to be a retro scene of text-based gaming standing up tall enough to be considered subculture.

I'll have to admit, I've succumbed to my fair share of free remakes of Lemonade Stand, as well.

So, does anyone have a verdict?

Will text-based die like disco, or will it thrive throughout time?
