    It has everything and nothing to do with power

    If you don't have enough power to be densely packing your racks, don't put as much tin in there. If you space out your tin, it isn't going to save power (unless you are doing this over ALOT of racks, so much so that it is affecting air flow).

      If you have gaps, you should install blanking panels to fill them! ;-)
